Printer sheets: essentials visible instantly

Each printer in your list is represented by a dynamic sheet that gives you an instant and relevant overview. At a glance, you see its image, name, and current status (e.g.: "Printer off", "Printer on", "Printing in progress").

Depending on this status, the information and actions available on the sheet adapt:

  • For an inactive printer (off, disconnected), the sheet displays key usage statistics such as total cumulative print time, total number of jobs completed, and the date of its last print.
  • If a printer is on and ready, a "Start a print" button may appear to quickly launch a new job.
  • When a printer is in action, its sheet turns into a mini dashboard: current file name, consumable used, progress percentage, estimated remaining time, as well as direct commands (pause, stop) and a link to the detailed print dashboard.

A complete profile for each of your printers

Clicking on a printer opens its detailed sheet: a true control center dedicated to that machine. This exhaustive view is designed to give you a 360-degree vision:

  • Printer information: See at a glance its image, name, current status (e.g., "Printing in progress"), and a complete panel displaying all its technical specifications (brand, print volume, speeds, connectivity, supported materials, etc.), as well as its usage statistics (total print time, number of jobs) and even information like its price or purchase date. In addition, direct access is provided to consult its user manual or invoice.
  • Active print: If a print is in progress on this machine, a summary of its progress (file name, consumable, progress, remaining time) is clearly displayed with basic commands (pause, stop).
  • Linked print tracking: Just below, a dedicated section lists all print files (past, present, or future) specifically associated with this printer, with tabs to filter by status (All, Folders, In progress, Pending, Completed).

Control your prints live with the advanced dashboard

For absolute control of your ongoing 3D prints, the "Print Dashboard" puts you at the heart of the action. Accessible when a machine is printing, this advanced control and monitoring interface opens with an immediate and crucial overview of the active print:

  • Live video feed from the camera for constant visual monitoring, with an option to enlarge the view.
  • Project identification information and clear progress indicators as well as easily accessible buttons to "Pause" or initiate an "Immediate stop" of the print.
  • Just below, a real-time statistics panel displays a multitude of key operational parameters.

Beyond this top-level monitoring, the dashboard gives you controls to fine-tune every aspect:

  • Adjust settings on the fly: Modify overall print speeds, extrusion factor, main fan speed, and other machine settings like acceleration or corner speed live.
  • Control the print head: Manually control movements on the X, Y, Z axes and finely adjust the Z offset.
  • Manage the extruder: Fine-tune extrusion settings, such as pressure advance, smoothing times, or retraction distances.
  • Analyze temperatures: Monitor the evolution of all your sensor temperatures (nozzles, beds, etc.) with a detailed graphical history.

It's your real cockpit to optimize every print live, react instantly to any unexpected event, and aim for perfection for every part.

Easily add your printers: catalog or custom creation

Integrating your FDM and Resin printers into the app is simple and flexible, offering you two approaches to configure your hardware setup:

Choose from our catalog: Browse a wide selection of pre-registered models from the most popular brands. Use filters (FDM/Resin type, brand) or search to quickly find your machine.

Selecting a printer from the catalog allows for quick addition, often importing its basic features. For models compatible with a network connection, you just need to enter its IP address to establish the link with PolyOrchestra and thus activate live tracking and remote control options.

Illustration: easily add your printers: catalog or custom creation

Create a custom printer: If your printer is not in our list, is a modified model, or you want a fully custom configuration, opt for manual creation.

You can then define every detail: its image, name, brand, type (FDM/Resin), print volume, firmware, connectivity, speeds, maximum temperatures, supported consumables, and many other technical specifications.

How does printer synchronization work in PolyOrchestra?

Important clarification on synchronization with printers.

For FDM printers (via Klipper / OctoPrint): Synchronization will be fully automatic. If your printer runs on Klipper or OctoPrint, PolyOrchestra can:

  • Send print files directly.
  • Control the printer remotely.
  • Display all live information: temperatures, remaining time, layer-by-layer progress, etc.

For resin printers: Here, the challenge is different. Currently, resin printer manufacturers' firmwares unfortunately do not allow external connection for live control. To still manage everything in one place, we've implemented a manual tracking solution:

  • You add your resin printer in the app.
  • You start your print on the machine, and with one click in PolyOrchestra.
  • The app then starts a timer based on the estimated time from your slicer, allowing you to track your progress.
  • At the end of the countdown, simply confirm that the print is finished for the file to be considered "Printed" and moved to your history.

The history of all your resin prints (time, success/failure, resin used) will of course be saved in the app, just like for FDM printers.

Our commitment for the future: Our goal is to make PolyOrchestra as universal as possible. We therefore plan to extend FDM compatibility to other popular firmwares later. For resin, our promise remains the same: as soon as a manufacturer opens its firmware or offers an API, we will immediately work to integrate 100% automatic synchronization.
